thin myc growth

my cakes have been birth for about 5-7 days now and there seems to be thin spikey growth on the cakes, heres a picture dont know if you can see it properly

look at my set up---

i put up white printing paper to reflect some light to the back of the container, tape os there because of a hole on the lid

From what it looks like, the growth that you are describing will probably develop into pins. Good work. However, I can't be certain because of the poor quality. The timing is right to start seeing that kind of growth.

My guess is pins or fuzzy growth due to high humidity.

it not fuzzy, its more spiky. i cant explain it bit its not fuzzy. i will update in a couple days see how it turns out.

it got fuzzy in the first 3 days then stopped fuzzying, now it starting to spike

i see some, but only on one of the cakes

one was dunked 12 hours the other 24

would 24 hours dunk slow down the cake more?
