Ah good thinking land crap.

But yeah ok, I just dont know about finding a soft metal thing. And would soft metal not stick? I mean the curve is just one curve, so the coat hanger would work fine, as long as it doesnt stick, it doesnt need to bend to come out or anything. I am just worried it will stick after curing.

I guess a soft metal would stick just as much woudl it not?

Also, I still dont know why this clay is so soft, it hasnt hardened at all in the past hour or so. Its annoying. Its far too soft to work with I think. I cant manipulate it without breaking it or mis-shaping it.

Is clay supposed to be so soft? The clay I have worked with before never was. I guess I will give it more time.

I just need to know if the coat hanger would come out? Once again it doesnt need to bend. Like lets say it was straight, would it come out after curing? Or would it be stuck?

you could always try using a release agent... umm you could try vegatible oil.. or maybe crisco (vegetable shortening).. rub that on the wire that would prevent the clay from sticking

Ok so I will do that. I just wish this was harder so I could start. Its all so exciting. I hope this clay works out.

EDIT: Its starting to harden up, just need to give it a bit more time.

Now, abotu the oil, wouldnt it just get evaporated or soaked in by the clay by the time I cure it and all?

be careful with clay, the dust particles from low fire clay can cause cancer, along with other disorders.
