corn cob slurry tek

has anyone read/tried the corn cob mycelum slurry tek? Does it work? It sounds very promising. I would like some thoughts from more experienced persons than myself, as I am new to the growing of portobellos.

I think this is the one that Anno and I were talking about a few weeks ago.

He said he tried it and he got contams.
Then he told me to try it....lol
If he got contams.....I'm not gonna bother til i get bored.

roadkill it was the one u and anno were talking about
I was the one who brought it up
he said he got contams but that he thought that if u used a bit more care in sterilization that it would work

well, I tried it last night with 4 lbs. of corn cob, two tubs (rubbermaid) and 1 pint with 4 cups of water for each tub. I was pretty clean/sterile (bought a new blender, just for this, sprayed it with alcohol and allowed to dry), used the same spoon for stirring/mixing as I used with stirring the corb cob while it was boiling and wiped with alcohol prior to use. sprayed cakes lightly with 10% peroxide solution prior to blending...I'll let you know how it goes...can someone let anno know about this thread for his comments?

I didn?t quite understand how you soaked/pasteurized the corncobs.
