My plan

My jars will be here in a couple of days, this is my incubator... No water in the bottom, just the cup. I probably wont keep the heater on all the time. Anyway, thats not too important...on with the rest of my plan. I bought these oven bags which I plan to pasteurize my substrate in. For substrate I was planning on buying a bag of 'fine organic horse manure' that I saw at Lowes. I was then planning on using turkey trays to fruit in. I have two terrariums that I am planning to use, both will be identical. I have these rubbermaids and these racks Each rubbermaid is going to have two racks in it. Each rack will have 3 turkey trays on it. I am going to install an air pump for circulation and mount a thermometer. What would be best for humidity? I was thinking either water in the bottom with an aquarium heater, or just perlite. I'm not sure perlite would do the job with such large containers though.

I got photoshop, I resized to 640x480 on imageshack. It said forum-size so I figured it would be appropriate. It looks fine on my computer too. I don't know how small you would want them... ANYWAY, if someone has some comments instead of flames it would be greatly appreciated, THANKS!

Perlite will work fine for humidification
The horse manure sounds suspect... Anyone ever used fine organic horse manure from lowes?

I'm not especially attached to the lowes organic horse manure..It just seemed to be the best that I saw. What would be wrong with it? Any other ideas and where to get it?

I order mine from Tennessee Stud. They are a sponsor here at shroomery. Mike is a good guy, and a good vendor. If you can, aged poo from horse farms that's all dried out is what you are looking for.

I've heard of MyCota Pro which I think is the same sort of thing. Is there anything to buy locally or is the only option to really get it online?

locally is your job to investigate. I assume you live in the united states or maybe here in the netherlands, whatever the deal though, look for horses, than look for old poo.

I have a lady I work with who has a stable and when I asked for some hpoo I have neber seen soemone so happy! Apariently she pays someone to dispose of it. I got about 100 lbs today between her and her 3 friends, they even delivered it for free and threw in a bail of straw!
It sounds stupid but if you offer to clean the poo out of stables for the pay of poo people jump on that!
Hehe I am soo happy, I hop everyone else can be helped from this
