Does anyone know anything about this strain? Is it from Australia? Is it a prolific grower? Potent? Any help would be appreciated.

Ask captain max, I think he sells syringes for them, so he'd probably know what's what with them.

Dont know much about it, But yes its from Wollongong, Australia.
I'm sure there was a big discussion on this strain here so my advice is to do a search.

The Wollongongs are a relatively new strain from Australia.
It produces fairly long golden-stemmed mushrooms. It is a very unique strain and a must for collectors.

No offense CaptainMex, I was kind of hoping to get an opinion from someone other than the vendor that is selling the strain. But from the looks of your picture, I can expect 3-4 fruits from each cake. Hmm, if I want results like that I might as well go for the Tapalpa. A friend of mine tried growing Tapalpa and it was slow to colonize and then produced NO pins. I was hoping to hear a little bit more positive about the Wallongong. Oh well.

I know the guy that actually collected the original print and despite extensive agar work various people havent been able to establish any rhizomorphic growth - unless it has had some extensive domestication its not worth a wank.

You don't know dick 'bluemeanie', I get prints from people all over the world, including several in Australia.
The Wollongongs typically fruit 3 or 4 long stemmed fruits. Total yield is prolly equal to what can be expected from most strains currently on the market.
They have golden colored stems, kinda like the medals Canada's mens and womens hockey teams won this past week.

The Americans did well to beat the Russians twice. You know when the Russians are getting pissed off, they start threatening to pull out.

I personally would buy from a vendor who thinks that a good yield from a cake is four large fruits.
Max, domesticating a spore-race does not mean simply making syringes from a wild print

bluemeanie, I have many wild strains at my disposal, I only offer the ones that produce healthy specimens easily and consistently.
And the number of fruits on a cake has nothing to do with a 'good yield'. B+ typically produces only 1 or 2 fruits per cake. Gulf Coast strains produce many. Others, such as the Wollongong, usaully fruit a few. Total wieght will determine wether or not a yield is good, not the number of mushrooms.
Kinldy take your continued drivel elswhere.

Who cares about your pr's, rolf. Like you admit, they are hard to fruit. Well both the Wollongongs and Tapalpa's fruit perfectly easliy. They are both fine strains of cubensis.that easily produce healthy specimens jsut as potent as the rest of them.
By the way, in the background I notice some print making going on. Looks like you have jars over top the caps which are sitting on foil. But the jars do not completely cover the foil.
Part of your print paper is exposed to the air.
Thats a very amateur way of making prints.
