heres my 1st casing, golden teacher. about 3 days from pinning. i think its doin great. definately stoked about the harvest.
heres the pic:

ive read the casing's second flush of pins are formed during the first flush. So do I just harvest, patch the areas where i picked and put back into the fruiting chamber for another round... or do I pick the small ones and let it do it all over again.

heh, yep. i new they were phototropic, just didnt know the tropism involved reaching towards light like plants. Thought they just needed it to produce the fruiting hormone. ive replaced my opaque lid with Glad Press&Seal. now its transpartent all over.
any input on the flush question?

Don'ty pick the small ones pick the aborts, (black heads)
let the others grow.... and depending on how much of a divot you made, you might not have to patch it.

Also your initial pinset create pins for many flushes although new primordia is formed during the life of your casing it is slow and reluctant as the myc survival instinct wants to bring any and all present pins to maturity.

I used a closet once setup a nice little lab trouble was all the shit that was in there ended up in the bedroom that pissed off the GF then I ended up dumping her as she was getting in the way of my sterile culture technique! Ya I got priorities too!!!"
