Caps on Ecuadors cracking *pics*

I got a nice flush growing right now, but some of the little
guys are having their caps split open.  What's with that?
Is this a result of abhorts?

Please explain, thanks :smile:

No, that can sometimes happen when the humidity gets a bit low. This is normal considering the amount of humidity that mushrooms intake when flushing.

Thanks, that is the case. I'm not trying to maintain humidity
because fanning the buggers is a bigger problem than
misting more often and keeping the casing material moist. I
looked at the little crack heads this morning and they are still
growing. One of my fat guys is dropping, gotta go print him!

I used Sporechicks grow-kit. They supplied the substrate
which looked like a mix of rice and BRF. I should ask them,
but they never reply to email.

It took them about two months to ship this kit to me. Who
knows whats going on over there. They didn't reply to a lot
of my email but I kept it up. I finally told them that if they did
not intend on sending the kit that I would at least like my
money back. They were always nice the few times they
emailed me, and apologized and sent the kit with UPS-express,
cost THEM $27 to ship it. I hate to say bad things about them,
cus they seem like nice people, but they are definitely not
timely.

I'll have more pics later. I'm taking some prints of these bad
boys to maybe make some more. I'm going to try agar with
some of the spores, see how it goes. Later!
