maybe this time i can get a little help?

I found some mushrooms with dark wavy caps. The dark brown doesn't lighten up anywhere on the caps, it just one solid color. the gills aren't attached to the stem. The gills are a light brown/burnt orange. the stem is a very dark brown, almost black, and hollow. They were found in a mulch flower bed in northern alabama. Resemble Psilocybe cyanescens. please help.

It doesn't sound like anything active. It shouldn't be eaten.

Psilocybe cyanescens don't even grow in Alabama.

in your section entitled, "Which mushrooms grow wild in my area," Copelandia cyanescens is the fourth on the list...

Yeah, but you said Psilocybe cyanescens, which is a totally different species than Copelandia cyanescens.

In America, Psilocybe cyanescens grow in the PNW, in wood chips or other similar habitats.

Copelandias grow in manure. You should be checking those sorts of habitats instead. They bruise blue heavily and create black spore prints, so it should be very easy for you to recognize them.
