Do LC's need Air Exchange?

Im wondering if my LC's can be completly sealed or if they need to have FAE? I have a cap with 2 holes filled with silicone so i can use a filter syringe when i take some LC out. Would that be enough? Seems like alot have some way for air exchange.
Thanks, Jacc1234

Give it some air...
I go lid with 1 inch hole in it, filter disc on top of that and 2 coffe filters on top of that all screwed down with a ring..
Oh yeah, I stick a self-healing injection port through the filter disc and lid.
Works like a charm.

Just make sure 1/4 of your container has air when you seal it, it will work fine.

do you pasteurize the poo??
Letting the jars fully colonize??
Not the LC's fault in my humble opinion

did you properly rinse the rye to germinate the endospores?
I hear rye is quite dirty and needs to be cleaned quite well or you can run into contams.
splifner180 lost a whole batch of rye to the green probably because of dirty rye...
maybe that's it
