Pin vs. Aport
    #5610445 - 05/09/06 08:59 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

I know this is going to sound stupid but i have a few cases in my FC right now.... Is there any way to tell a pin from an abort? Looked around and found nothing, so time for me to post a question

When a pin stays a pin for a long time, it is an abort. The best way to tell is if some pins you started with haven't grown when the others fully mature. Also, the soon-to-be-caps will achieve a darker tint than the other. You'll know...

i just got pins on one of my cases and i was wondering if early detection and abort picking would help the able shrooms become mature faster and be stronger...

Guess I will just wait and see who gorws and who stays the same

Remember pins are formed for more than just your first flush in your initial pinset so only pick the pins that are actually aborts. Learning to spot aborts is something we want to pick up ASAP and it becomes easy with a little experience. GL
