a few i know off the top of my head that always give me great vibes while tripping:
touch of grey grateful dead let the sunshine kottonmouth kings rip the night away kottonmouth kings
any additions to this list would be great. possibly a "bad-trip-free) playlist?

The break-out jam on Harry Hood is absolute nirvana. The "Thank you Mr. Miner" part may be a little darker, but that's only for 5 seconds, and I'm sure you could handle it

Safe Trip suggestions:
Loreena Mckennit - Dantes Prayer Righteous Brothers - Hes my Brother Supertramp - Give a little bit Trooper - Were Here For A Good Time Bob Marley - Dont Worry, Be Happy Enya - Only Time
Intenser Trip Suggestions:
Apcolyptica - Path DJ QuickSilver - Ameno Bush - The Chemicals Between Us

I'll second The March by RRFB. Great vibes, he really gets the crowd going with this song. It's hard to not dance right along I would recommend checking out archive.org's live music section to find some great live RR concerts. Also his Live At The Wetlands cd is one amazing jam after another.
I always get great vibes out of Marley, but I don't know if it's possible to not get anything but greatness from him.

If you want a song that literally defines "good vibe"... Feeling Groovy by Simon and Garfunkle... It's impossible not to be happy listening to that...
In terms of just really good songs that sound good tripping...
Pretty much anything by Amon Tobin... Infected Mushroom has some of the greatest songs ever (if you're willing to search through a mountain of crappy/so-so songs to find them). Shpongle's good, Primus can be good if you just feel like listening to something different. That song "The Ultimate Showdown" is actually a really good song tripping or not. General Levy has one song, the file says it's called Incredible (Jungle is Massive) so I'm assuming it's either that or one of the two... If you're looking for something with a big darker or heavier sound there's always wumpscut, funker vogt, front line assembly, etc. Curtis Mayfield's "Pusher Man" is a good song for the comedown if you haven't listened to it to the point of being sick of it like I have. Mike Oldfield's "tubular bells" seems like it would be good to listen to, although when I posted a thread recommending it I got a lot of people saying they'd be scared of it because it has the exorcist theme sampled into it... The song itself isn't dark or anything... It's long though but changes a lot through the song...
If you're walking down the street or something then Leonard Cohen's "Woke up this morning" just has a good solid beat to walk to that makes you feel on top of the world and above everyone else around you. Aphex Twin's "Come to Daddy" is simply a kick ass song... Not much more to that one... Hmmm... Starting to have to think about names now... Apocalyptica's "Hall of the Mountain King" is good if you're into that kind of thing... If I can think of anything else I'll post it but I'm sure you'll be able to find something you like in there... it's a pretty diverse selection...

I usually never utilize music but some time ago on a solo I did an experiment.
I put on a CD with traditional Nordic music, to explore my north-european roots. Now I don't mean that pussy greensleeves and certainly no beethoven but the REAL music my ancestors listened to when they threw a sheep on their shoulder and hauled ass to the market
It was very impressive. with the music loud and eyes closed it excited me and opened up a wealth of imagery.
Here's to ethnic music

Boards of Canada, Shpongle, and Aphex Twin are my favorites for tripping. When you're coming down in the wee hours of the morning, waiting for the loops to evaporate so you can sleep, nothing is quite so soothing as No Quarter by Led Zeppelin and I Want You(She's So Heavy) by The Beatles. Those riffs are the very definition of acid rock.
Peace.

For mushrooms, my best music would include-
Tori Amos- Caught a Light Sneeze A Perfect Circle- Orestes Tool- 10,000 days (track 3 & 4 were nice for me) Squarepusher- Iambic Poetry
