what kind of cubensis?

I realize this is asked often, sorry
I live in Alberta, Canada. Dry climate, around 18 - 28 degrees celcius during the summer months. I was reading what kind of P. cubensis I, as a beginner, should be growning and it all seemed to be related to whateve climate suited the best certain strain of cubensis. I can buy a humidity+temperature chamber (which I might have to do anyways), but if I didn't have to, what strain of P. cubensis would be easiet to grow in my climate? and if there isn't one, is there a strain that comes to mind as being slightly easier to grow, or one that is reccomended for beginners?

ok stupid question but... are you asking to grow indoors or outdoors? i'd think outdoors based on the question but a "humidity+temperature chamber" kinda throws me. just checking ;-)
that aside, there's no cubensis that likes a dry climate, period. temps are a bit low too... during your warmest times they might handle it, cubies prefer mid 70s but can fruit down to mid 60s. however its going to be near impossible to time things right, colonization is going to be slow in those temps even during your hottest times, and by the time you get an outdoor bed colonized you could miss the warm weather for fruiting. not saying it cant be done, but you'll probably need the aid of some sort of humidity tent like you alluded to, good timing, and a lot of luck.
growing indoors of course is another story, your climate doesn't matter one bit because everything is controlled indoors. if you do settle on an indoor grow then strain is mostly irrelevant, although i like to suggest B+ as its a good overall strain, can produce some bigger than average fruits and doesn't really have any specific naunces or drawbacks that would pose a threat to a newbie. there's lots of good strains though and you'll get a different reccomendation from just about everyone you ask though
there's a number of other species besides cubensis that prefer varying climates, but are also more difficult to grow and might prove difficult to find spore prints of and sufficient information to get going since you're going into it without any experience... maybe some others can chime in with a reccomendation that meets your climate. obviously a good place to start would be to find which (if any) naturally grow in your area. there was a list somewhere, i think maybe sticky over in the mushroom hunting forum.

thats the plus of indoors, you choose the growing conditions. if its outdoor than you can ask around. but indoor its your choice.

lol i checked in the growing list (where what grows) didn't even include alberta
and i was going to always grow indoors, just wanted to make sure that the low humidity wouldn't be horrible also, the chamber: umm.. the box that you set temperature and humidity lol i cant really explain any other way :P
but thanx, im guessing any strain is a good one haha
