what happens when you mix a punch of different rye jars of strains of cuby, in one big crazy steer manurer casing I just made one and it appears to be taking on good myc growth,,, wondering about the fruiting out come
Im also thinking about making another with some b+ casings that already fruited with some fresh myc and rye anyone ever try that and is it advisable

It's all the same species, so mix all you want. I've put several strains together in the past with no decrease in yields or pinsets. RR

I have the same experience, I did some mixing of KSSS, Z, BHT, and BPK, and things worked out just fine. Felt like giving it a go. As different as you may think all of these cubensis strains are, they are all the same really, so have fun with it.
Be more specific on your second question. Are you going to take mycelium from a spent substrate and put it in a rye jar?? I wouldn't advise that at all.

Im thinking of mixing the remaines of a fruited casing, to reuse the verm peat and rye myc,and mixing it with more fresh semi colonized rye, and put into a new casing, in theory to give the old casing some fresh food and a renew chance for further growth and to more quickly colonize my semi colonized rye
but does the myc know it has fruited already and is done with it also any chance of the spores that spread in the old casing to grow when mixed with more fresh rye
every one say a cuby is a cuby but I foundnd many strain to be unique in the way they look of course and varied potencys so i dont know why everyone keep saying this

dont put casing mycelium with uncolonized, or semicolonized substrate. It will contam; casings are dirty.

of course there are differences between strains. but there is also fairly big differences in strains when you do multispore.
the reason most peopel say a cube is a cube is beucase they have the same growth perameters slight variations probably but you can treat them all the same. also relitive to other species they have teh same potency. potency has more to do with substrate and your actions then genetics. again you have to expect some variations so saying a cube is a cube is for me is just relitive to other specices a cube is in fact a cube.
anyhoo mixing strains is neat you get a better garden. pic some shorter fat ones for the front and taller for the back get a nice layered effect haha. hum im gonan have to try this. the only problem is making prints if you care about keeping track of what the name of the strain is.
