Adding more casing, lowering temps, good?

Ok, Im doing casing and I have a nice light white layer on the top, im gonna cover it slightly with some casing material because I dont want an overlay. Im lowering the temp to the low 70's cuz I dont want it to grow so fast anymore, even rthough its B+ its gotta good speed going on. Should I see some pins still if I lower the temps to 70-75? I also do this so contams arent as comfortable like they are in 78-85 temps

You should definitely lower the temp to induce pinning and prevent contams. Also, I wouldn't be too worried about the overlay, if it already over took the casing it was probably because the temp was so high on the casing. I would just let it go. One time I tried to fight it and it just kept coming back and prolonging fruit time.
