I live in S. Texas. Hotter than hell in summer. The shrooms I hunt suck compared to E.Texas. Who Knows, one day I'll have to grow some indoors. The Treasure Coast I grew had great visuals.

For me, and surprisingly, GT were the worst: Small and few shrooms that gave me a terrible trip to hell itself (or so).

The most problems I've had was trying to grow Transkei (south african strain). There's just no way to stop it from overlaying. It did pin but there were only tiny shrooms as a result. They were about as big as aborts usualy are when they matured... hardly an inch of the ground

A lot of people seem to be saying that KSSS has been the worst strain to work with for them. What I am wondering, is how does the Koh Samui Classic strain compare to it and anybody who said that KSSS sucks, have you tried growing Classic and how was it different?

I'm growing Australian right now - anyone have any feedback on aussie? Orissa is pretty tough to grow on cakes, required way too much work & effort. Orissa really likes to have the aborts cut quick.

Bottom line, people will have different experiences with different strains. Hell, some people may not even be growing the strain they think they are if they got it in a trade or from a shady vendor. I've tripped nuts before from the same batch that my buddy felt nothing from and vice-versa. I've gotten excellent results with strains that I was told sucked and shit results with supposedly great strains. Some do better with less FAE, some with more.
Too many variables with substrains, people, substrates, settings, etc, etc.

I don't have an argument with this statement, but in the absense of objective and quantifiable data, we have to rely on subjective experiences. In fact, a lot of subjective information, put together actually gives you info that will probably be backed up by scientific experiments. Before there was science, this is what man relied on. That's how man learned eating those red berries will kill you. Of course before science man thought the earth was flat so there you go.
So in other words, I feel that all the "what's the best strain" questions do have merit. We just have to accept them for what they are.
Z strain sucked donkey for my neighbor.

Golden Teacher was the worst strain for me. It fruited just fine, but the potency was VERY low. They were grown of Hpoo.

well Z strain sucked for you, but it is awesome for me. Every strain is awesome for me. KSSS from THE sucks in my opinion. Experienced growers get bad results. KSSS from Ralph is awesome.
Every cubensis strain I have performs almost exactly the same. It is the grower. Not the strain. Call me wrong, but I have proven it myself. Once you all get better, try it.
Same everything, done side by side. In the end, they all work almost equal. (that THE KSSS seems to be the only case)

That's probably true. If my neighbor tried it again, I bet it would be fine.

This is not the first time this question has been asked, nor is it the first time the "general" consensus was KSSS sucks. Case in point: Whats the WORSE strain you ever grew??? <-----Clickety

If you were to ask all those KSSS people who say it sucks, I bet they all got it from the same place. And I bet it wasn't from Ralph. I have Ralph's version, and it looks nothing at all like theirs.

Z strain sucked donkey for my neighbor.
So what's the best strain based on all of these subjective experiences? I'll bet you get a hundred different answers to that one too.
