Electric Brain Shock?

I know I read a post about a similar experience before, but I searched and searched and couldn't find it. Anyway last night I tripped and after I came back to reality I attempted to go to sleep. As I was just about to drift off a loud buzzing noise blarred in my ears and all the sudden my body was jolted for about 3 or 4 seconds. I was violently shaking almost similar to getting eletrocuted. I attempted to go back to sleep again about 10 minutes later and as I started to dose off I could feel it coming on again so I quickly awoke myself. Any ideas wtf this is?

Maybe it's simply a shock induced by yourself that you have no control over.
My advice is to wait it out and see if it keeps happening. If not, then it's no biggy.
Don't worry necessarily. Your body really is capable of shocking itself like that, for whatever reason. I would just enjoy it if it happens again because obviously it's not going to kill you.

I got these wierd little "electrical bursts" years ago when I went off Paxil cold turkey. They are common when coming off of SSRI antidepressants, and they are most likely due to "mild" siezure like activity in the brain. What you describe might be similar. Do a google search on "SSRI discontinuation syndrome" (just don't believe everything you read though).
Also, your brain can do some wierd things right before you go to sleep when waking reality meets sleep reality. It's called the "hypnagogic sleep state". It may have been that coupled with an altered mental state from the shrooms.
In any case, I wouldn't worry about it too much. If it's happened before or it happens again for apparenetly no reason though, there is a chance it could be odd electrical activity in the brain's temporal lobes, which can be a serious medical problem resulting in mental illness. (Please don't be paranoid. This type of thing isn't common, was most likely just had something to do with the shrooms, and can be treated by a doctor with anti siezures meds.)
