are these things worth it? many people say that you can build one for much cheaper. cut the vendor crap, is it practical? does it really work that much better for the increased cost of it? whadya think?

though i dont have one, i have only heard and seen great results from them. iif i had the money i would invest in one. i guess the concept is simple but i hear its the top dome part that is diffiult to find. they are pretty much fully automated. do a search on them or go to the mushrooms pictures forum, they have lots of pics of the hydrapd in action.

I don't own a pod. But the results I have seen are great. Everyone who owns one will tell you they are good. They are easy and automatic. A good investment if you want to make it.

i went to read about the hydra pod and wasnt very clear on the advantages of it.. other than it all being automated. is it just basically a pre-built automated terrarium? is the pod big enough for 12 cakes or a casing tray?
