I finished picking my second flush of mushies off my 2 hpoo/substrates - the second flush kinda sucked - maybe an eigth dried - i didnt use a casing.
i didnt dunk em between flushes either - was worried bout contams
the substrate still looks viable- event though growing has stopped -
if I like chopped it all up and left it outside where nature could get to it - you think I might get another yeild?
oh btw - when you touch the substrate - to pick mushrooms - should it feel more moist or dry?
I think my method of watering was inadequate hence the low number of flushes... next time its sonic humidifier....

congrats! two flushes is always better than one

are you sure it's stopped? you could dunk it in water overnight in the fridge, then wait a few days ..... whatcha gonna lose? when you do throw it outside, best to leave the lump intact, so the mycelium is stronger.

depends if the substrate has been kept moist or left to dry out.
