So anyone know much about this blue lotus? http://www.erowid.org/plants/bluelotus/bluelotus.shtml
I watched the sacred weeds documentary and its roused my interest..... Sacred Weeds Blue lilly Part 1 Sacred Weeds Blue lilly Part 2 Sacred Weeds Blue lilly Part 3 Sacred Weeds Blue lilly Part 4 Sacred Weeds Blue lilly Part 5
Can you get it any where? Buy the seeds online? It looks damn cool, like it would be good to put in punch or something at a party. I'm thinking a homemade liquor with that in it would be sweet. Has anyone tried it? There are apparently other species that are active.... http://www.clearwhitelight.org/hatter/lilly.htm

Check IAmShaman.com, their prices are very reasonable and their service is unmatched. A number of the Shroomery Sponsers carry these herbs as well.

Blue Lotus is supposed to be the best according to SWIM. He has a 750ml bottle of white wine with about 10-12 grams of blue lotus flowers steeping in it. Supposed to take about a week, shaking every day or so. He will update me next week on how the brew comes out. You can also smoke the flowers(mixed with a little herb)and along with drinking your wine/lotus brew the experience is supposed to be quite relaxing. SWIM knows of a couple of vendors who supply the dried flowers of good quality. They are not sponsors here but PM me if you need to know who. Peace

I've got one starting its first set of leaves in a greenhouse, kept ~ 80F. I've had better luck catching a buzz off whole flowers steeped in alcohol and eaten than with the various extracts.
Here's a good link for getting started on a grow: http://www.faculty.sbc.edu/simpson/Lotus/index.htm

SWIM agrees with namaste. From what he has heard the extracts are a waste.

Namest where did you get the seeds from? Did you get Nymphaea Caerulea species?
I found a good deal - 20 seeds for $5 US. That seems pretty sweet, I found another with $13.50 US PER SEED lol
Is this species a common pond lilly? Or is it pretty obscure/rare?

I got them awhile back from ShamansPalace. Still not sure what they are, I thought they were Nelumbo Nucifera - Lotus and Nymphaea Caerulea - is the Blue Lilly/smaller seeds... heh, never got that one straight. Anyways they were about the size of a thumbnail and i had to saw open to get to the flesh to get them to germinate.
I thought i paid around US 5/5 and i'm not sure how common or rare they are. Most all pond lotus that i've seen are pink, white, or yellow :shrugs shoulders

These people seemed to have drank a tiny bit of wine and got silly for short periods of time. I dont know. Id love to try it though. Sedation/tired feelings hours after having drank only a glass of wine? I would expect that............
There must be something to it unless those two people were totally uninformed/inexperienced when it comes to even low doses of hallucinogens, sedatives, etc....
SOunds like just what im looking for. Im going to watch part three now just to get a better idea, maybe a conclusion.
Id like to give it a try.....

Haha you have to watch the whole thing. I think they definately exhibited reactions. They got that kinda of excited talking thing you get on E (well I get anyway). The eagerness that guy chomped them down with too. haha
One glass of wine isnt likely to do much, and in this experiment they didnt actually know how it was supposed to feel. I thought it was funny how it was rigged so that they could score, and they asked the chick how she felt about the others. I think she was horny - and trying to figure out how to say it without looking slutty. (this is the bit with the whiteboard)
Crackup.
To me this drug looks like it has potential. Perhaps at partys with a large bowl of wine steeped in the flowers. Everyone helps themselves it could be fun!
