LC straight to coir?

I've read about people preparing hpoo bags and injecting them with up to 140cc LC. I've also read about spawning to coir, so I put the two together and I'm wondering if I can prepare bags with straight coco coir? Maybe add a little verm or straw to fluff it up? Will there be anough nutrients in the coir?

Oh yeah, theres enough nutes, but only for 1 good potent flush. You wont really need to add anything, coir is pretty "airy" on its own. You wont need 140cc though lol. What size batch are you thinking?

havent decided on a batch size, but I bought way too much coir (this was before I knew how much it would expand, etc) I'm planning on doing some measurements on exactly how much water is needed to bring it to field capacity, then add idk ~ 100 ccs less water then needed, PC a bag, then shoot with 100ccs. From my casing experience, i've noted how fast coir colonizes, so i'm hoping a bag will colonize pretty quick. What do you think of this: PC a bag, inject, let colonize. Then break up and spread across the bottom of a rubbermade. Give it 24 hours to re gather itself then procede to fruit it, w/o a casing layer. If it's only going to be good for a single good flush, would leaving out a casing layer be ok?

Why coir is MY question, lol. If you have probs finding poo, BRF would be a better investment. As far as a casing, if its in a monotub, you would be able to get away without using one.

Sorry to disagree but....coir is a bulk substrate, BRF is not. Coir is cheaper and more nutritious. I've been spawning grains to coir and I might try this.

Liquid cultures need to be used as inoculant for grains or brf. Liquid cultures usually don't take off when used directly into bulk substrates such as straw, manure or coir. RR

I use LC to inoculate bulk substrate almost exclusively. Works great with the right recipe.
I have tried coir bags a few times and could not get them right. It will probably take a good amount of trial and error. If your prepared to suffer through some significant failure to find the perfect recipe, go for it.
