What is most important to you in life?

I've been thinking a lot about what is most important to me, having friends and family to support me throughout my life. Communication with them brings a smile to my face each day, and just being around them. At times I feel sad when I think about the days in the future that will come and they won't be there, so I try to spend as much time with them as possible.
Money seems to be another important thing, since I don't have a job at the moment but will soon I have no money. Not until my disability check comes in will I have money to do things. I'm planning on going back to school and get a bachelor's degree in Computer Technology so I can repair computers and know as much as possible about PCs and Macs.
There is always the basics, food, shelter and water. Which are easily to come by, my parents pay for most of that as I still live in the same house with them. Moving out will be a big step for me in the future if I can afford it. I have to buy a new car also cause I crashed mine about two years ago. My family helps out a lot as my mom gives me rides to meet up with my friends and such.
My buddy that I spend time with the most owns his own business, Gulfshore Vending. I work with him occasionally and he buy me lunch with a little bit of money that he gives me I usually buy cigarettes with.
Anyway, what is most important to you in your life.
Peace, Octavius

Yeah self-acceptance is a very important issue. The way you see yourself when you look in the mirror everyday and you have to realize you are important and that you must succeed.

I just took care of paying some of my bills, and it looks like ramen noodles will be all that I will be eating for the next week and a half.
 Peace.

Yum yum, I find Ramen to be really really salty! Tasty though. I've never checked out the Culinary board but I'd bet they have some excellent recipes on a budget.

This is not my defination of self acceptance. I will accept myself even if I do not succeed. I accept myself unconditionally whether I am a "winner" or a "loser". I accept myself unconditionally because I am alive and I exist and not because of my actions.

Sure it is and it is not where our self worth needs to come from. You are worthwhile just because you exist.

My goal in life is spending as much percentage of time that I have in life as possible doing nothing "important". Keeping the "fight" to a minimum, avoiding games etc. I don't want to compete with anyone, nor be someone that people are going to compete against. Everyone can have their sucess, power and influence, and stick it up their neurotic asses, I just want some peace, cheap internet, and cheap film processing (and NO I'm not switching to digital ever).

Learning about everything possible. Being at peace with everyone, and everything expecially myself. Trying to live a fullfilling life.
I really like the post about creativity through art and people.
-------------------- "People living deeply have no fear of death." "Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love." "Our problems are man-made, therefore they may be solved by man. No problem of human destiny is beyond human beings."
