How do I get the lil folding@home bar under my name?
    #5603338 - 05/07/06 11:44 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

How many points do I need to get one, and does it show up automatically?

I think it only shows up for the top 30 producers, ythan will know for sure.

As for moving up, it happens quite quickly, as there are plenty of inactive folders.

I check the team stats here:

Its not your ISP, its the fact that its a memory MONSTER,lol. I have 2 500 sticks of memory, and it uses ALL of it.

I have mine set to use as much memory as it wants and to accept larger than normal work units and I've never seen it use more than 100MB. Most of the time it uses less than 10MB.

Ythan: Can you adjust the algorithm so that more people get helices? At this rate it will take a total of a year of folding on several machines to get a barely visible one : (.

It didn't seem to slow mine down so much as cause it to constantly run hotter than it should.

I think everyone except one person in the top 30 has been using multiple cpus. So yeah you would have to wait about a year to get up there, assuming each wu takes between 4 and 12 hours.
