Hmm....


People seem to have some strange knowlege of where to find straw that I am lacking. Where on earth do you buy straw?

P.s. Is it wise to do a 15% alfalpha mix or pure straw?

Believe me, it is not easy for us city dwellers(big city in my case). Pull out the phonebook, and start calling nurseries in the suburbs!

About the alfalfa, I haven't experienced it, so i won't comment.

I have also heard the craft department at walmart, but dude couldn't find it there.

If you cant get to a horticultural center, try this place. they have chopped wheat straw and ship it to you.

If you have a Feed Store in your Area.....check there.
Even Big Cities have Feed Store's around.

I found chopped straw at Gardenridge. It didn't say what kind it was, but it's colonizing just fine so far. Only a few days into it, but I bought this bale that said "maxi straw".

Someone mentioned using timothy hay. You can find it at any pet store.
