ID on Mushrooms in Illinois

Hey guys...
My girlfriend found these growing in her flower garden here in central illinois. Here flower bed is covered in cypress mulch and we've never seen these come up before. She was out weeding the garden and threw these in a cardboard box since they somewhat resemble something we used to eat years ago. I'll try to provide as much detail as I can. I'll probably throw these out regardless but I'd like to have some opinions in case they come up again.

They were growing in dirt but surrounded by cypress mulch. It hasn't been particularly wet but there has been lots of ground moisture that sticks around. Temperatures have been in the 40's/50's and night and 60's/70's in the daytime.

The gills are brown but I wasn't able to make a sporeprint. I think it's too late for that since they just been thrown in a box and sat for a day. They are light tan in color.

The stems range from 2" to 4" in length. They are solid...not hollow. Diameter is 1/4 to 3/8" on average. Color is white/gray.

The caps are fully extended and darn near flat although the center may have a little hump to it. Some are light tan in color and others range to a dark golden brown. Most of the centers have a darker brown center.

I can't tell if it bruises any color. There may be a blue tint here and there but that may be my imagination wanting to believe.

That's all the info that I know how to provide. I presume it's too late to make a spore print? Thanks for looking at my post. I look forward to reading more on this site since I had an avid interest in mushrooms in college.

They resemble an Agrocybe praecox but you really need to take a spore print and those are well past the stage where a decent print can be obtained. Additional information about how the gills are attached to the cap would be helpful.

In short don't eat them as they could well be poisonous.

They do resemble Agrocybes. Nothing active. Shouldn't be eaten.
