Rolling should be done immediately after dunking while the cakes are still wet and rolled in dry verm that way it sticks then mist it down lightly to field capacity.

Also it looks like the cakes are sitting directly on the perlite, highly not recommended. Also, there really isnt much of a need in dunking till after the first flush. When I birthed mine, instead of dunking, I just misted the cake enough for the verm to stick. Hence....

Actually the water content of a cake is quite depleted after the substrate run from a myco point of view.

Hmm. Sitting cakes directly on perlite isn't recommended? I realize that its a contaminant "whore-house", but isn't that what the H2O2 is for, and I thought most suggested doing so to allow cake to be better hydrated?
Hmm. Guess I thought incorrect (although thats not an uncommon thing).

also try double end casing. just put the cake on a little pile of verm and put another little pile on top. al lthis does is help keep the caky hydrated.
