Will the GT's be ok?

Last weekend I had an incident at my place where I had to move my terrerium of freshly innoculated Golden Teacher cakes to a friends dirty dusty old outside basement because of a possible police threat.

Now they're out there sitting in freezing weather. I think I can move them into his house soon.

Will they be ok? No mycelium had grown yet. I repeat it's freezing out there.

I dont think the cold will harm them just slow or stop growth.
I think its to much heat that you have to worry about.

dude, if it accually froze then you are probly fucked! i dont think mycilium could live through that. whats the deal with the police? if you think the police are on to you then may i suggest abandoning operation and layin low. better safe than sorry

I decided to try cold shocking a casing in a freezer
for 30 mins. Got high and forgot about it. It froze solid.
Still fruited great. Things are designed to make it through
the winter. Cold won't kill it, just slow it down.

I froze a casing for two weeks, and when it thawed out it still fruited fine - it was an accident actually - my flat mate moved it out of the fridge and into the freezer to make room for her, and i forgot about it.
Just think of it as an extended and harsh coldshock
