Opinion on Jar Moisture

After waiting for nine days with no rizo in my WBS jars I decided to open one up to check the moisture content.
The seeds were still fairly expanded and they smoosh open with light pressure from a fingernail. The surface has no water whatsoever; running fingers through the seeds does not get my hand wet. To me that looks perfect but with seven jars and an LC knocked up over a week ago show zero growth, I'm beginning to wonder.
Any opinions on what my moisture level should look like?

PS: I do not intend to re-seal and re-incubate the jar I opened. =)

how long have your jars been sitting at over 80 with your heatbomb?
maybe your lc is effed? id say if you have any spore syringe left toss in .5-1 cc and see if that grows. if it does you know the grain is fine and its your LC thats bunk. from the sounds of it your jars are good.

Hmm, this doesnt answer your question in any way, but I don't think that resealing and reincubating that jar will work out for you. Considering it was exposed to open air, as well as your hands going through it its probably caught a few nasties by now...

I had the same problem and I had 9 jars 7 of them I used lc and have no signs of growth and 2 I used straight spore solution and the ones with spore solution are showing growth but the others are not.

skeletor: The jars have been sitting in another sealed container at pretty much all times, so very little FAE/GE. They've been in 80-84F temps (from the heatbomb in the Igloo) for the last three days. They were in a sealed container at around 70-74F for the previous six days.
Snaggletooth: This is my first grow so no, no experience with this seed. Specifically, this stuff. And the jars have been in a "hanging file"-style plastic box (Sterilite) so I don't suspect much wicking off of moisture from the jars. The jars themselves have two 5/32" (somewhat small) holes drilled. One hole has one piece of micropore, the other has two pieces (a second added after innoc'd).
iamyour_messiah: ...which is why I noted in my PS that I wasn't planning on re-incubating the opened jar. =)

Oh, cool. The ingredient list looked fine but the vitamins threw me a bit. Didn't know. So BIG thanks for the assurance on my WBS brand, Snaggletooth!

Yeah, I definitely rinsed the crap out of it. I know the specks you're talking about. Sunflower seed crap, maybe?
