it was me who reccomended jeremy narby. there were a few people at the symposium that just COMPLETLY had me mesmerized! he was one of them... and i think martin lee was another... so that should be a good book as well.
i read all of the cosmic serpant... and it was really unbelieveable!
i didnt buy his second one yet... i just finsihed rick strassmans DMT the spirit molecule.
i just cracked open and finished the first chapter for the food of the gods by terrence mckenna.
its always weird having to adjust to a new authors writing style... first few chapters are always harder to understand than the rest of the book.
but needless to say it also is some good shit.
everyone says hes really wacky... so i might like him the best.
i also have pihkal to read after the food of the gods and then ill pick up jermey narbys second one.
id actually REALLY be interested in getting Criss' Angels book when it comes out in september... and david blaine if he has one im not sure.
but both of those guys are genius gurus of some kind. really amazing!

oh yeah... that book is amazing till the end.
it is kinda short, he has alot of detailed "notes" in the end... i didnt read too much of the notes.... just didnt catch my attention... i was too excited to start a new book.

For anyone interested in mushrooms in general, Demystifying the Mushroom is a good one I picked up in my school library. It does include info on the hallucinogens, of course, but it also explains a lot of the dynamics of mushrooms in general. Great for perusing during math class.

The cosmic serpant -DNA and the origins of knowledge, by jeremy narby. I've started reading this and its AWESOME OMFG. His sequel to it, Intelligence in nature - And inquiry into knowledge. Acid Dreams - History of LSD, the CIA, the sixties, and beyond! by martin a. lee, and bruce shlain. Sacred vine of the spirits - AYAHUASCA, by ralph metzner. and Food of the gods - the search for the original tree of knowledge, by Terence Mckenna.
Well I have the book, I love reading, and thats all that matters for me. But thanks for the link.
