if a mother plant is grown under florescent lights untell it gets big, can a person take it and put it outside in the bright sun, would it kill the plant? would it survive?
when taking cuttings and put them in glasses of water, would putting fertalizer in the glasses harm them or promote root rot?

A plant would thrive if given more light, as long as temps where acceptable, it would be fine.
I find that a very very dilute amount may actually be beneficial for the cuttings, never seen any root rot caused by that.

if you are moving any plant from one type of location to another its best to make the move gradually. take it outside for a few hours a day each day for a week at least, it will be less of a system shock for the plant this way. if you cant do this then keep a close eye on the plant for signs of wilting, yellowing of the leaves, pests, etc.

mmm, pot really doesn't root out well in water, unless you have a very sophistocated areoponic system. You'd be so much better off trying it in rockwook or oasis cubes.
and for the mother, just put it in the shade for the first day or two, and then move it to sun. Flourecents and the sun are like the complete opposite when it comes to intensity: if she starts wilting and gets real thin leaves, then you know she's getting too much light/heat.

i think they meant leaving the cuttings in the water before dipping in rooting hormone and into a cube. i THINK but im not sure. i do this anyways, to prevent embolisms : )

cannabis cuttings will root fine in water taht is changed every day, just give teh cuttings some root hormone right after you take the cutting. if you put an air pump into the water they will root much faster. They wont need any fertilizer till they have roots, even tehn very little.
and like hrethic said try and wean them into the harsh light and heat, humidity will help this.. It realy depends on where your climate and the general grow space.
