25? You're still a young'un! Don't spend the rest of your days worrying about dying because you won't be able to enjoy living then.

No, says the man in Moscow; it belongs to everyone. I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose... Rapture. - Andrew Ryan

There's no such thing as crazy. He just needs something to depend on him, not something to depend on.
Doc, you didn't choose to be here, and it sounds like you don't want to be here. You're gonna die anyway, so why not take a random leap of faith into something more fullfilling, like a marriage or moving to another country?

Yep. This thread has emo written all over it. It looks like DoctorJ is feeling dark and sensitive with low self-esteem.

Death is an unknown territory. Death could really be just that...the end. I don't think you're a pessimist, but we're built to last longer than 30 years and leaving before that would leave a whole timeline empty.

basically, what I'm trying to say with this thread is that sometimes our higher self warns us of the difficulties we must face in the future.
this has happened to me many times.
I have been warned about betrayals, health problems, robberies, financial problems, you name it. Sometimes it happens in dreams, sometimes meditation, and sometimes during trips.
Sometimes the warnings are just telling me, "Hey, this is gonna happen, it's inevitable, so you better start dealing with it now, so you won't panic when it happens."
Sometimes the warnings tell me, "This is what will happen if you do not change your present course." Very few times I have been wise enough to heed these types of warnings, and in doing so have avoided great catastrophes.
but when my higher self told me I might be leaving the planet earlier than my ego expected, I did not see this as catastrophe at all.
for if I have no body, then how can I have catastrophe?
many are faithless. but I have faith even through hardship, struggle, death, and beyond. If just one person who is lacking in faith could find faith through my example, then my sacrifice would be well worth it.
"It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known." - Sidney Carton from A Tale Of Two Cities by Charles Dickens
let me just once again remind everyone I have no intention of ending my incarnation via violent means. There are tricks of the breath and mind's focus that can achieve transcendence from the earthly plane, and these are the only ways I will use. I'm not even advanced enough to use them now, but my higher self has told me I'm rapidly approaching them.
I just want my friends to know that they need not grieve for me when I am gone, for I will never be truly gone. And that goes for anyone who's life comes to an end.
