Use H202, its not really an option not to use it.
Do you want all of your efforts to go up in green?
USE PEROXIDE!!!
It's cheap and very effective.

I never used it and I never had mold problems. I wouldn't say it's a must, but any extra precautions you take couldn't hurt.

You can get H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) at just about any drug or grocery store. Try to get the bottle with the newest date on it. Peroxide loses it's thunder after a while.

Bleach will kill everything, even your mushies.
If you don't have any standing water you can get away with no peroxide, but why take the risk??
Safety first. In life and in this hobby, you have a lot of time and effort at risk. Do all you can to ensure proper results.

I personally use 3% at about 8oz. per 32oz. water this has worked great for me. 2" perlite is all you need, remember you can also soak and drain your perlite using no standing water in your FC, I personally find the addition of water stabilizes the environment better providing less fluctuation.

peroxide degrades fairly wuicky especially if you use a light or agitate your bin for whatever reason... mixing. so eeally you are only killing whatever might be in there when you poor it in and fora few days. after that you have water and oxygen. if you bake your perlite between cake sessions theres no point especially if you wet your perlite with non nasty water. if you use your perlite continuously then yes i would shock it with h202 after each session to kill whatever might want to start growing.
honestly i think if you have h202 in your mist bottle that would be more usefull since it would degrade less quickly. keep the bottle if lets light in away from teh window and such though agian to keep the h202 from degrading. notice how the bottle it comes in isn't cleanr or if you poor some out into somethign and shake it it goes all foamy. that it degrading.
