Just a note for the New Zealand crowd. There are 83 species of Psilocybe in the genus which are not psychoactive.
There is no bluing whatsoever in s your shrooms and they are most like a non-hallucnogenic species of Psilocybe or are an Agrocybe or similar mushroom speacies realated to a Psilocybe species.

Awesome photos yet again. That mycelium ones really cool.
So I'm geussing these didnt go blue at all? They look a lot like some mushrooms I found up in arthurs pass - they had a weird jelly-like slime coat on them.

Of the face of it MJ but we have been looking at this guy for a while i think - didnt we already find this mushroom had forked cystidia? So of the NZ natives it is most likely a variant of aucklandii since its spores were too small for tasmaniana which grows off dung. I wouldnt be surprised however if this was actually a new species. Did you notice blue staining? Im just waiting on Eontan to get back to us with his opinion (he knows his shit)

might i had excellent photos and an interesting cap colour. Im quite interested in this mushroom so if your feeling generous a spore print would be swell. Did you notice any blue staining?

Johnson and Buchanan suggest that makarorae is very similar macroscopically to Ps.caerulipes.
