It's crazy that you project that stuff onto me when you are the one saying it, when the ideas are coming from you. Why not look after yourself instead of talking about geniuses you have no idea about.
LOL!

Sox, no one likes your poetry for a few reasons.
1. It's not good. 2. You're parading it around relentlessly, and combating any criticism with ridiculous and ill-conceived statements. 3. Refer to reason #1.
Look at how simply you answered criticism that favored your writing. "Thank you." You argue that those who say your writing is bad simply don't understand it. It's just as likely that someone who liked your vague bullshit didn't grasp the meaning either.
Good day, sir.

We make ourselves a world apart Behind light words that tease and flout, But oh, the agitated heart Till someone really finds us out.
'Tis pity if the case require (Or so we say) that in the end We speak the literal to inspire The understanding of a friend.
But so with all from babes that play At hide-and-seek to god afar, So all who hide too well away Must speak and tell us where they are.
-Robert Frost
An example of good poetry. You'll notice double meaning through choice diction, meter, and a number of other rhetorical devices.

Yeah definitely a good poem, it immediately asserts its goodness, a good example of polarity to Sox's poems, which immediately assert that they suck.
Damn you and your overusage of "angel," and other 'heavenly connotative' words.
Jfisher, I think you really brought it home with your last two posts.

It seems that you are talking to who you wish I was rather than who I am. It doesn't matter if you can think of a mindless insult or not. You have to say something that doesn't make sense about my writing because it's so good. It's remarkable that you say what you say to someone who says what I say. Some of the people here insulting my writing don't know the first thing about it. They don't understand that there's much more to it than even the blog. You can insult it all you want, but it doesn't mean anything when it's some uninformed person saying it to one of the geniuses of this young century.

Please tell me about your writing, Mr. Genius of the Century. What is it about your writing that transcends the worldly limitations of your blog? Or am I still talking to the wrong person? What was mindless about my criticism? How do you know how informed I am?

It goes both ways. Read that other poem I posted, you might find some of its meaning holds true to you.

Well. To my knowledge I have been writing for five years but have been a writer all my life. I'm a genuine artist, a real superstar, and I don't know why. The writing is the writing, it is the basis of the art. The poems are written by a rock star who failed because of his ego. So he writes for salvation. I also recorded 15 albums in the span of four months to become that failed rock star, the humor being I actually became what I previously had written about. I also have done visual art that is on the blog. I honestly believe I'm worth a trillion dollars, but I want to give it away.

It seems more like you've put monumental effort into trying to create a cheap gimmick. Either that, or you've really just lost it. Any chance we could hear any of these recordings?

I don't think it's a gimmick at all. It's just written as one really. I write as a superstar, to me it's a joke, but it's really what I am. All of the recordings have been released in very limited quantities, but they are out there. The first album Yorke got a lot of buzz early in the year around art industry old rich circles.
Sing Sing Dream is a unique record because it's all original stuff. With the exception of The Prayer Record and maybe a few others, the rest of the albums are filled with tributes to other artists. There are covers from everyone from REM, Nirvana, Bob Dylan, Pete Townshend, to The Cars, Roger Waters, Pretenders, and Lou Reed. The recordings in my mind have always been an offshoot of the writing. The writing was always the main event. But the recordings were very important, especially when they involved the writing.

Damn...
This thread is ghey. This guy has lost it and his work sucks!. Do you ever wonder why you failed as a musician? You only fail as a musician if nobody likes your work. So why dont you just get over your ego and just accept reality. The sooner you do that the sooner this thread will die.

But you don't mention that you are talking about a writer who wrote through a character who failed on purpose. It makes me think you don't know the difference. I did all the work, you failed at watching. That's what happened here. You can say how horrible I am all you want, but it's just your projection. I'm really great if you believe it or not. You can say the art isn't there, but it is. I gave everything. I deserve to be a great writer.

hmmmmm yeeaahhh...
you did all the work and its doing nothing or getting you nowhere. Except giving you that little self satisfaction of thinking your a "superstar". If your work was so great it would be published in a poetry book. Not on a public forum. It makes me glad you were never succesful; I just wouldnt know what to think if people liked your work.
I'll tell you what...why dont you try sending your poetry into a publisher and getting it into a book. If ya make it, I MIGHT change my views on your writting. If ya dont....well....you work will still suck.
PS. Why not post some lyrics to your music? Id love to be ammused by reading them.

To do what you are trying to do and to be a superstar are exclusive.
Lusting for fame is opening up like poisoned flowers snaking all around your garden. If you really want to be a big shot put down the pen and pick up a brief case. If you really want to be an artist, be poor, write things that will make your friends and family smile, never see yourself from the perspective of Yorke.
Your poems aren't so bad but you need pruning.

Forlorn man, his axiom held in isolation... You believe your facade of brilliance, I see desperation...
I just made that up about you, the arrogant guy whom quite frankly, I think sucks at his proclaimed source of aptitude.
It took me about 10 seconds to write it... should I continue? Some feedback please people I'm desperate for some.

Whatever, this thread is full of idiots. Serves me right for trying to bring a bit of levity to a bunch of whining narcissists
Enjoy your afternoon
