Horse dung casing?
    #5595760 - 05/05/06 09:11 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

Hello, I'm new to the whole idea of mycology and I already attempted one grow with P.c. Ecuador. I am currently attempting my second time with P.c. Golden Teacher and I was wondering how well horse dung and hay would work? I am not sure if these would be bulk substrates, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've spent pretty much every waking moment for the last month reading these forums. And I can say that hpoo+straw is pretty much considered gold around here.

yes it would be considered a bulk substrate.

I don't like messing around with straw...its a pain in the ass.

I use aged horse poo.

Welcome drtask! I myself love aged H poo/straw! IME the proper amount of straw really extends the substrate and "lightens" it as well hastening full colonization somewhat.
