well that is the question. Now my friend is new to this hobby and so far has had great success. However hes been tripping every week some times twice a week. Now Ive read that this type of hobby is fairly safe physically but what about mentally? Are there physical affects to worry about? Should i worry for him? Did most of you guys go thrue a phase like this when you first started? A lil help please.

i agree, it's not like coke where he cant stop himself. after he realizes that he doesn't want it, he'll stop and act normal.

...not necessarily true...
i have had friends who have gone overboard with mushrooms and lsd. i am also inclined to believe that those who are predisposed to mental illness will start to develop signs and just keep tripping until they've gone too far... i have seen it happen, it is possible.

From personal experience, tripping is really something you don't want to do on a weekly basis.
Psychedelics are very strong substances and can have a strong influence on the mind, even after the initial high. They make you see things you didn't know where there, in normal circumstances can be a positive thing, giving direction, meaning, help figure right from wrong.
After a while of weekly tripping i realized somethings are best unknown. Psychedelics can slowly but moderately grind away at your ego/mental security. Leaving your mental stability something to be questioned. They can make your over analyze things that you would normally just pass off or not even cross your mind. Questioning every question..about yourself, your life and all the why, how's and what ifs.
Not to say this will happen to everyone, not even to say a small minority, but psychedelics as with any mind altering substance is something that should not be taken lightly. From personal experience, chemical imbalance is a sure thing, moderation is key, shrooms are no exception.
