Razor burn.
    #5594324 - 05/05/06 01:49 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

I've always had issues with razor burn on my neck. It always happens on the right side of my Adam's Apple.

I've tried several different razors and I use the Nivea sensitive after shave balm. The after shave soothes it, but it's still there and it's unsightly.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of this shit? My girlfriend told me I should try some stuff called "Bump stopper" that black men use. I'm white, but my facial hair is very coarse, similar to a black person's. Anyone ever used it?

Shave while taking a hot shower. I notice that I am much less likely to rip up my face when I do that.

Shave that one spot at a different angle.

I used to shave my mustache area going against the hair grain. About half of the time I would completely rip up that area and have bad red marks all day there. Now I shave that area straight up and down. It is clean and cut free now.

I have the exact same problem, the ominous "neck beard". It sucks.

I've tried just about every cream and razor out there (including expensive electrics). No matter what, I always get bumps on my neck. The bump razor works by keeping the razor higher off your skin. It may work, but the stubble sucks.

The best thing to do: pluck. Use tweezers and go at it. Unfortunately, to cover any sort of area, you'll be at the mirror for hours, then eventually give up and accept the bumps.
