3 months after birthing, still no pins... should I chalk it for a loss?

I've successfully grown several batches of shrooms in the past which is why I'm so confused about this batch's lack of progress.
I inoculated 10 jars with B+ strand around mid December, 5 and a half months ago! The mycelium showed up a little later than usual, on the order of 5-10 days depending on the jar, and also took a bit long to fully colonize, between 5 and even up to 10 weeks.
I dunked each one as I always have in the past and put them into the same fruiting containers I have used before with great success.
Now I have to return home from college in a few days and not a single cake has shown any sign of pinning. I am dumbfounded, as each one is fully colonized and appears otherwise healthy.
My question is: should I pester some of my friends to keep the cakes, hoping they still have a chance of a fruitful life, or should I just pitch them before my folks get here for graduation?
Thanks guys, I'm interested to see if anyone else has had a similar experience.

If it has really been three months after you birthed them with no signs of pins...Id toss them instead of handing them off to your friend. Seems like a waste to even bother.

drun kthem all for 24 hours and crumble and case. if they don't grow into hte caseing right you know somethign has taken over your myc in 3 months of sitting around. which is likely. if it grows in like normal myc then they shoudl pin in under 15 days.
