Why God rested on the seventh day

Even an infinite God has limitations. When he dreamt up the world, he knew that he could not focus on keeping everything in play 24/7, so he put all his energy into creating basic laws that would by themselves keep the universe running of its own accord. This freed God up for baking on the beach with a pina colada instead of having to constantly orchestrate the intricate dance of 10^50th particles.
He is/was a pretty intelligent dude. Work smart; not hard.

There is an elf website that talks about grey aliens bringing the mushroom to the monkey. Pretty soon the monkey started evolving.
Anyone have a link to this site?

Why God rested on the seventh day
Because Simpson's is on Sundays, silly.

That's pretty close to my understanding of the Intelligence behind all of this. The laws were set up to make existence and evolution self sufficient and whatever intelligence set it up has been on Holiday because it is so freaking smart.
Nice post sporatecus!

You are assuming too much, which religion describes gods creating laws of universe?

if so, then yes.
but what if not?
Maybe we are just figments in the subconscious of a God that is not even aware of our existence? What if we invented God? What if the story is just designed to simplify the complex because science was not around back then to answer the big question of "Where did we come from?"
how did God create himself? How can you have a right to be God and create things...... how does one be that God , as opposed to being a human or a chimpanzee...... does one become that God only when one purifies onself entirely? Then does that not mean that we were once God, righteously and holy, but strayed from the path?
It seems to me that the story of Eden makes enough sense, we were once divine and in tune with divinity but fell astray and have been warring and fighting and being sinful ever since.
But it's not really so much of a historical relevance as it is a message to the audience it was created for, saying "this is how you are supposed to be but you aren't...... and this is why"
questions open up never ending.
-------------------- I am the MacDaddy of Heimlich County, I play it Straight Up Yo! ....I embrace my desire to feel the rhythm, to feel connected enough to step aside and weep like a widow, to feel inspired, to fathom the power, to witness the beauty, to bathe in the fountain, to swing on the spiral of our divinity and still be a human...... Om Namah Shivaya, I tell you What!

Essentially God made us imperfect because he is imperfect. Yes, all-powerful and all-knowing, but still flawed. Now it is up to us to clean up the mess.

Well, imagine a child in a room full of toys. The toys ask, how does one deserve to be the child and not a toy. The truth is, there is only the child as life, the toys are just objects and come to life when child imagines during play.
Perhapse there is nothing but god, maybe that is what "being" means, it means god, the rest are shapes of its expression

Who set up hyper-creation such that the now-vacationing intelligence could have created our ordinary-creation?

Well, accoarding to the Bible, god did make us perfect, but his rebels, the Nephilim came down and defiled the human purity by mixing their own seed with human females. So basically all sin is some sort of genetic sabotage. Though those with strongest will can overcome their birth defects.

I think sporetacus was referring to the laws of physics and quantum mechanics and cause and effect, not moral laws like the ten commandments.
However, adding unto that for myself, it seems there may be self governing and self judgment and self punishment laws built in, related to cause and effect, related to moral actions.
That's why acceptance and forgiveness is key. Self persecution and guilt only leads to being in a proverbial hellish state while in it and self punishing behavior. Watch people who do it (self persecute) and feel it (guilt) and engage in it (self punishment). It seems there is some law dynamic in play that takes care of it for the dude/dudette out suntanning in Rio.

I don't look at this stuff like who's Diploids. I look at it all more as Whats. I personally think "who's" are created from out of "whats".
Like how the who you are is created out of what stuff.
I don't think at the end of scientists search (if there ever is one) they are going to find a who being. I think they are going to find more of what is being the who's.

I havn't a clue. The only bit of global political news I caught recently were clips of the press grilling Rumsfield about lying.
Why do you ask?
