That's interesting stuff. Christanity from the beginning seems to have been devided as to how to practice. No one agreed then and no one does now.
As Mr. Natural sez: "Twas ever thus"

Sounds like, when I die, there will be a lot of book studying, because I just can't remember or understand all that hierarchy

It also sounds like Jesus liked to laugh a lot. He lauged at everybody who asked a confused question, maybe that's why Jews wanted to kill him..

Ever since Jesus Christ Superstar arrived on the scene I looked at Judas in a new way. If this were all true it would not surprise me. But really now, unless someone knew both Jesus and Judas personally, there is no way to really know who they were and what they believed and taught and planned.

The gospel of judas was written in the third or fourth century (according to wikipedia which I don't really trust). Therefore it's not generally considered old enough to really refute the canonical gospels, which are from the first century

Indeed, and I think it would be a mistake to read the Gospel of Judas as a historical document. What's important is the message behind it. The Gospel of Judas essentially teaches that the material universe is ultimately an illusion. In the gospel, Jesus is shown as one who has transcended this illusion. He has Judas turn him over to the Romans so that he can show the disciples how illusory the physical world is by resurrecting himself from the grave.

Everyone interprets the text as an image of their own self, so don't take what you have said for granted, take it as a description of your own mind
