Another cactus ID confirmation thread (T. pachanoi)

I'm new to the cacti identification game, but I'd say these are classic Trichocereus pachanoi. They were bought from a local Bunnings hardware outlet, and cheap too!

The taller one has 4 ribs reaching the apex, with 2 more ribs squished amongst them (of those 2 ribs, one of them is visible side-on on the left). The smaller one has 5 ribs reaching the apex with what looks to be more ribs coming through.
Just wonderig if you cactus-knowledgable people can confirm their identity. Cheers
PS: Will the 2 ribs squished in on the taller cactus eventually reach the apex?

they look like t. scopulicola, very similar to pedro but equally powerful. and you're very lucky, the ones with 4 ribs are the rarest, the most sacred of all kinds of pedro...

aaah, excellent cheers
I was just wondering: what led you to the conclusion that it was T. scopulicola and not T. pachanoi, as the two look very similar. What characteristics of this cactus set it apart from T. pachanoi?
Just curious to know so that I'll be able to tell them apart next time.

the distance between the areoles, they're much closer in scopulicola and pretty far in pachanoi.

Yeah go ahead, I cant see why not. At least it helps cut down on the amount of ID threads
