Possible it could be Psilocybe Cubensis although that is not 100%. Looks like it though from what I can see.
The photos you have provided aren't going to cut it for a 100% ID unfortunately. Are there any blue staining on them?
Next time you get a good rain, go back to the spot and pick some fresh specimens.
I should warn I've found some Cubensis look-a-likes growing out of horse poop (if you do a search the photos may still be here from 4 or 5 years ago). Most Cubes grow from cow poop. Having said that, I must say it does look like a Cube to me.
In the meantime I would definitey not recommend eating them because they are old and could be full of parasites and also because it's too hard to tell what they are with the information provided.

At what point do they become inedible, due to parasites? Is there a way to sterilize them to rid them of parasites?

Well they wouldn't be "inedible". You could still eat them if you don't mind eating maggots and flies and shit. I wouldn't bother trying to get them out using any sterilization process. It may kill them but you'd still be eating them.
Next time you find a shroom, blow gently into its gills. Often I have done this and scores of tiny insects fly/crawl out. Don't freak if you have never done this, it's just a bit of extra protein for you. Hahaha.
Also I will restate I am not sure that is a psilocybe, there is not enough information provided. But it looks as though it could be a candidate for cubensis.

I don't think those are P. cubensis. Talk of eating is premature at this point.

If they are too dry and brittle to get a spore print they're not going to bruise either. At a glance I think it is possible it's a cubensis, but it would be a foolish thing to eat it on that possibility.
Like I said earlier, go back after a rain and collect some fresh specimens then they will be much easier to ID.

They're probably too young to get a spore print from as well. I highly doubt they're cubensis.

You can still get a spore color from this - Tear away that veil and scrape the gills onto some white paper. It will become immediately clear what color the spore are/were - not as consistant as a 'print' - but remember the detritus that collects at the bottom of a baggy when you've been carying around dried shrooms? That purple shake? Same stuff. Won't help with species - but will help narrow down genus a bit.

Hey everyone thanks for all the input... if a find any more mush like that one i will be sure to post it it really had some traits of cubensis but to be on the safe side i will post agsin when i have more info. But to update, today i found a real bonafide cubensis from the same patch so there is a good chance it is!!!!
