trouble with pinning
    #5590006 - 05/04/06 01:08 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

Hi there,

I seem to be having trouble getting a good pinset on my pf-tek cakes. at the moment ive got a single cake thats been in the terrarium for about a week and a half - humidity at about 98-99%, plenty of FAE and a light cycle. I have got three very small stumpy little shrooms coming off the top of the cake, with little bits of fluffy mycelium on them (i thought this was perhaps down to high humidity?) and then one random shroom which grew from the bottom, bigger than the other three over last night - i was wondering if this is all i can expect?

any tips on getting a bigger pinset that utilises more of the cake?

well my tip is cakes dont' get good pinsets haha

however dunk your cake after birth or in your case this flush
double end case it. and roll in in verm and mist till its wet.

look into crumbling and casing it next time.

agreed. if you decide to go with PF tek, follow those tips from skeletor to maximize your flushes. it's like putting a nitrous tank on your pinto...kinda
