LC Comparison Stir vs. Agitation an observation

Nothing new necessary but I just observed this first hand.
I used 1cc mulitspore of Costa Rica to 2 LCs. Though the syringe was thick, very thick I should have done .5cc(thanks hawkseye!)
They were malt/dex @ 5g per 450ml 2cups.

Both were in the same room @ room temp and dark.
Sample one was on the stirrer from day one on very low, the other sat and was agitated 2-3 times a day.
Myceluim was not visible for a pic,
The jar that sat by day two had visible growth be it tinny.
The jar on the stirrer had growth but even smaller.
This continued for the next three days.
Day 4 the stirrer has now over taken the one that sat. It started slow but now has grown twice in size. The pic dont make it clear.

The pic dose not truly show the growth deference between the two.

So as one would expect spores dont like having sex while swirling around, but once they did the growth has benefited from the constant stirrer.
This is not a test but as an observation.
This one was stirred.

The one that sat,

They are the same color not like what you see....

ive been waiting for this since you mentioned the experiment the other day. good job.
i wonder if we can conclud that letting it sit to germinate for 2 or 3 days THEN sticking it on the stir plate makes for faster colonization.
or maybe it was just a fluke since the test only involved two subjects.

I would believe that letting it sit for the first 2-3 days is best. the spores graviate towards each other to hook up. If u are constantly break them up this process will take longer.

Well here are the results. I dont brag but this is the thickest LC I have seen (except for Agar..lol)
It's more of a slurry

Shit was so thick that it started to grow on the glass...if it wasn't so beautiful it would be eerie.
