Was this movie real or a hallucination?
    #558957 - 02/21/02 08:22 PM (21 years, 9 months ago)

Last week I was tripping heavily on LSA when I flipped through the channels. I believe it was on the Sci Fi channel at about 2 in the morning. Anyway, it was sort of a psuedo fantasy/war/comedy/animated movie, obviously heavily influenced by some serious drugs. Watching it an army of goblins was advancing on the fairy town when in the background pictures of Hitler were flashing in the background. Then some old horny wizard dude was hitting on a fairy chick (who was pretty hot for a cartoon). I believe it was called "Wizards" when I checked out the TV guide the next morning. Anybody heard of this freaky movie?

There's a movie that I saw once and it had these kind of funny animal creature type people and this one wanted to be a rockstar or something so she went to this city and there was this guy called Mok and he was a freaky looking guy that sort of reminds me of Mick Jagger and I think Mok kept her locked up in his mansion with some large female creature that would sneak out and go rollerskating and some of the girls friends were trying to rescue her or something and at the end she was singing and her voice was unlocking some kind of magical thing and it was weird.

I can't remember what it was called.

It's times like this that I wish I had full cable satellite or something. I don't get any good channels showing the cool obscure weird stuff anymore. Once in awhile they show something on Access (local university channel), they actually show a lot of good movies, un-edited too, but they're nothing too far out of the ordinary.

Stumbling onto a bizarre show (especially a feature length animated film) is the single most enjoyable television encounter that I can think of, drugs or no drugs. With the right drugs though, it's even better. I can't even remember if I was on anything when I saw that thing with Mok. I want to see that again. Maybe I'll do some searches, though Mok is the only key word I can think of.

Their was this short lived series on TV late nights called "weird TV" or "liquid TV". It was definetly made for trippers by trippers.
The entire two hour show was just clips of good cartoons, puppet shows, scary stuff, anything really. Just as you thought you "GOT" the programing of the show and were getting into a movie it would suddenly flash to something else. The best part of the entire thing was this old guy, with a long grey beard, he would keep flashing in and out, look at the camera and say "comfort zone" in a soft voice, He was always driving some big jeep through a rockey road and bouncing around while he said it..

This was not a dream.. It was a real show for a while..

If anybody here gets german television, namely BR (Bayern Rundfunk), or BR alpha take a look at it from abt. 2-6 in the morning. It's called spacenight, and is utterly awesome.
The rocket launces aren't that cool, but iv'e sat for hours just watching our earth roll by underneath (sober even).

I suppose if your'e tripping, then it's the next best thing to actually being up there.

That's the fucking movie! Thanks man, I couldn't find anything related to it. I didn't know it was Iggy Pop, when I watched it I probably wouldn't have noticed that anyhow. When I was thinking about it Mick was the closest thing I could remember... Mok is my clearest memory of the whole thing and his lips were particulary memorable. Anyhow, thanks man, you're gold in my book after this. (I don't know why but I have very strong feelings for this movie. If I watch it again and it doesn't live up to them I'm going to be very dissapointed.)
