Gourmet Truffles
    #5589186 - 05/04/06 06:59 AM (17 years, 8 months ago)

Hi All!
I am on the verge of starting my first edible grow. I originally started with ps. cubensis, but I'm getting more and more interested in mycology as a whole. I would really like to begin growing edibles.

I was specifically interested in growing edible sclerotia. Can anyone reccomend a truffle species? Are edible truffles the same to cultivate as psychadelic truffles (inject the substrate, put in a dark closet, then ignore for 4-8 months)?

Also, if someone could reccomend an edible that would be a good step up from the pf-tek, i'd appreciate it. I'm gathering more equipment (my pressure cooker is on its way!) so I can do some of the more advanced things.

Overall, any advice you can offer would be golden. Thanks!

perigord truffles are hard as hell to grow. they grow in symbiosis with trees and you can buy inoculated tree saplings. you have to be in the very right climate and wait several years for truffles to form. it is not the same as psilocybin truffles.

those are the only truffles that i have any knowledge about.
