I was hiking along the coast near Lompoc, California (1 hr. north of santa barbara) to go surfing recently and my friend and I came accross two different typses/species growing on cow dung in the same exact area. One species has more of a standard upside-down bowl shape for the cap which has dark brown spores and about 2-3.5 inches tall, light brown and shiny stem and cap. The other has a much wider cap that is brown and only 1-2 inches tall. They were no longer living, except for the two taller ones that also had a blue tint in the stems. What types of mushrooms grow in pastures in central cali that are edible. I was wondering if you could possibly identify these as either poisonous or psychoactive? Thanks.

You're killin' me here, man. The very first response you got said, and I quote, "DEFINITELY NOT ACTIVE."
This means that they were not psychoactive at any point. Ever.

It's hard to tell what they are because the mushrooms are so dried up and crappy. You need to provide fresh photographs.
Pan. Cyanescens (blue meanies) look slightly similar to the the last photo, but that's not them (so don't eat them!). In my experience when Pan Cyans dry out their stems usually go so blue they almost look black. And the stems are also a lot thinner, and the spore print is black.
