casings and RH

so it is absolutly neccessary to have the humidity at 85% when casing? has anyone cased at a higher humidity level and gotten away with it? the reason i ask, is because my friend did this and he got pretty decent results. he also hated the fact that his casings seemed to always be dry when he checked on them about every 8 hours. he also didnt like the fact that he had to remist the casings, thinking that eventually he may over water them. and when leaving the terranium lid open slightly ajar, his humidity would be at 85% but no condensation build up on the walls, all this along with visually drying casings. is that the norm? and should he just bite the bullet and leave the lid ajar and keep the 85% humidity and just mist every 8 hours?

Pinning cycle , have it @ 95%, keeping your casing moist, at the optimum level.
Once pins have reached a pea size, then you lower your humidity, and mist 1-2 times every other day.

So what will be the difference if u just leave it at 95 the whole time? Will it affect size? potency? I was just wondering.

It will work with high humidity as well, but if you lower the humidity to 90% after the pinning, there will be less chance of mold contamination, less chance of bacterial blotch and the fruits will generally grow larger.

Foaf has worked with about 8 casings now , she leaves her rh @ 96-98 at all times . She's had some rather large fruits and some really nice flushes , mainly do to help from good people like Anno and others . She has yet to drop her rh seems to be doing very well , fans three times a day also uses a bubler rock . She will be using a new rubbermaid soon and try it with 88 -92 rh , see what happens . Has yet too see contams while in the fruiting chamber , she mist with with a little h202 .
