Dose anyone have any sugestions for fruiting azurescenes. I have kept them at the proper temp for over two weeks, with no sign of fruiting.
The mycelium is compleatly grown out in thick mats. I have read that a casing was not needed. I have also noticed a jelly like substance where water droplets have formed on the mycilium, only in a few places. I grew the spawn out from a spore syrenge, using using rye grain and
alder saw dust. After inoculation of card board to alder wood chips. A fairly constant temperature was maintained 75 deg. F. Until initian was atempted two weeks ago, at wich point the temp has varied from 45-55 deg F mostly on the colder side. I mist twice a day. I dont have a umidity gauge, but assume it is on the high sids, the interor of container is always wet with water droplets from condensation.
Thanks everybody for your time and knowledge.

Im not too sure , but I think they have to be outdoors on alder chips to grow well...I could be really wrong though. Ask joshua or Anno. I think they have had some sucess.

Soak some cardboard strips in water overnight and lay them on top similiar to a casing layer. The source I was reading claimed that nothing at all happened indoors unless they had the 'cardboard casing'. I haven't had personal experience with this, but spotted the hint in my research a few weeks ago. I have been told that azures can fruit indoors, but that it is very very difficult.

Dude i m no expert but I can tell you that alot of master cultivators here have tried to grow Azures indoors and found it nearly impossible to do. You can go to sporeworks.com and read up on the cultivation...also follow the link in pictures about Joshuas Azures project. I m in the same boat you are and wish us both luck because we are gonna need it.

with the right conditions, anything is possible. Id probably go with an outdoor bed simply because id assume more chance of success, but good luck
