Advice on incubator needed (heat tape)

I've bought a file cabinet at the salvation army (10$), and am looking for a way to heat it. I've considered a reptile pad, but would prefer a way to maintain a constaint temperature throughout the cabinet.
I've found a product called "AHB Freeze Protection Cable" made by Easyheat. It's also called "18ft Easyheat Heat Tape". Now, Easyheat makes several types of heat cables, some of which are self regulating. The self regulating are no good since they wold turn themselves off well before room temperature. The AHB cable has a thermostat, which makes me believe it might run at the temps I want. However, I can't find any detailed information on the thermostat. It's possible that 80 degrees is not an option.
Does anyone have experience with heat cables, and or, know whether the AHB cable will meet the needs of an incubator?
I can also get heat cable by the foot at the local supply store, but I'd have to wire it myself, and incorporate a potentiometer. I'd rather just buy something I can plug in... if that something exists.

well like the name "freeze protection cable" implies, that's its purpose - to keep pipes from freezing in the winter time. granted you're not putting it on ice cold surfaces and it might have the capability to throw off some heat when used in an incubator setting, but i don't think it would get up over 80, depending on the ambient temperatures outside your incubator. i'd also bet that the self regulating ones are set to turn off once they reach a temp much much lower, like in the mid 40s to save energy in warmer months, and to keep cold water still cold. they aren't designed to heat up things so much as they are to hold the temp just a little bit above freezing.
depending on the size of the filing cabinet, you might be able to put a heatbomb (aquarium heater in a container of water) in the bottom drawer to keep the drawer above it in the low 80s, then the drawer above that would be warm but lesser, which could work nice for incubating casings before fruiting... keep the whole thing covered with a nice thick blanket and you might have something workable.

if you insulated this cabenet dencently you could just use a heat bomb and teh heat would be perfectly even. this is actually what ive been getting around to do with a cabinet i already have. since the cooler i use just looks silly.

I just don't like the heat bomb idea. It takes up space, and a fan would be required in a fileing cabinet, might even need to drill some holes.
I think heat cable would be perfect for a fileing cabinet. If I can't find one that will maintain 80, I can make my own. I was just hopeing someone had the skinny on pre-made cables.
