white fuzz on my stems?

This is my first grow and I seem to have a white fuzz growing on the stems of my mushrooms. I'm not sure what it is. It just appeared there sometime in the last 10 hours or so. I birthed the cakes 3 days ago, and all seemed fine until this morning when I checked on them. Here's some pics:





this white fuzz doesn't look good. anyone know what it is or what I can do about it?

perfectley normal... it's just mycelium. just keep the humidity high.

Are you sure that's normal? Is it going to go away? Are they going to be like that when I pick them?

That is a relief though. I thought all the time I had put into growing these had just gone to waste in one night.

the mycellium get fuzzy towards the bottom sometimes. like i said just make sure you humidity is high. it doesn't go away... just adds weight.

ok great thanks. When I dry them out is the fuzz going to dry out and disappear?

it will dry out. it contains psilocybin just like the rest of the mushroom so it is edible.

i'm so excited that these guys are growing. i was expecting contamination just like just about everybody i know who has tried growing them.
